3).  Go to game folder or installation folder ,Right click to that folder ,"Grant Admin Full Control" ,wait until is done ,install game or play game.
With this method you take Administrator Rights for that folder and all included files.


About the game:
Civilization VI is a turn-based strategy video game in which one or more players compete alongside computer-controlled AI opponents to
grow their individual civilization from a small tribe to control of the entire planet across several periods of development.
This can be accomplished by achieving one of several victory conditions, all based on the 4X gameplay elements, "eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate".
Players found cities, gather nearby resources to build and expand them by adding various city improvements,

hello, when i try to run the game a window pops up about error 0xc0000142

a) my pc runs witcher 3 normally, so im not missing any programs like directx etc.
b) i installed the patch into the game's main folder (not in "base" folder or in the other two).
c) i run the game with administration rights and windows 8 compatibility (i use windows 8)

already tried to solve the problem through regedit *HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\­Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\LoadAppInit_DL­Ls) as described in some guides regarding that error.

what am i missing?

yeah ofc, thats the "b", i installed it inside the main folder of the game, not in its subfolders.

i noticed after posting my previous post the patch has been updated, it now run normally, thank you!

how to fix this?
