Hello i download it 4h ago i played it for 1h it was working fine and i turned off my computer when i came back i tried to launch the game but its opens for 1s and then closes i'am on windows 10 i tried something that i saw on the first page that was to install the patch folder without the antimalware and added the folder to exceptions still not working and then i deleted the game and reinstalled it still not working any help pls ?

Hi nosTEAM games! I am trying to play Left 4 Dead 2 but I am running into an issue. Whenever I try to run "play-l4d2.exe" or the windowed version I get this error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I can successfully run it from left4dead2.exe though, but when I do that I get a warning that I am running with the '-insecure' flag set so I am not able to play online.

Steps I did:
Installed Left 4 Dead 2 repack v_2.1.4.6
Installed DirectX update patch
Installed Framework for-Games (I get an error for Framework 3.5, it says I have to use turn on/off features because I am using Windows 7, so I installed 3.5 through that means instead)
Installed Visual C++ 2005-2022 pack (I also get an error here for the 2017 redist, you just mispelled the .exe names in your script I supposed, so I ran them manually)
Launch L4D2 (this is when I get the runtime closed in an unusual way error)

Can you help me with this issue? If not, could you share the source for play-l4d2.exe so I can debug it? Thank you for this game and for your help!

When i try to update the game it says "Access denied" what are the solutions of this? Cause when i try to play online the loading screen pops up and imidiatly turns off or when the game it self shuts down when i try to connect to server....

I have a problem with online. I downlaoded this game with a couple of friends and we want to play it. The problem appears when somebody tries to connect to my server. Before that everything is fine i can start up the server but nobody can connect. It says "Failed to connect after 10 retries". and thats all. WE NEED HELP!

you need to port forward 27015 as server
