- Update your video card driver,
- install all required software listed on game topic ,
- disable User Account Control ,
- make sure your antivirus is not blocking game files (add game folder to Exceptions),
- install update patch ,
- Run game as Administrator

problem fixed, the pre-made shortcut does not work for me but the l4d2 app in the folders did

I've been downloading the patch and when install I get a 'checksum error' in multiple files in both l4d2_patch_2202-to-2222.exe and l4d2_patch_2202-to-2225.exe

I've downloaded it multiple times and still the same problem.

Can i use that update (2202 to 2225) to my version?
I have version 2.2.1.2 installed

u have installed patch in wrong folder
